I was at our local Checkers today and being a month end the ques were pretty long. I was about third or fourth in the que and at the front was this old guy that had about a million things in his trolley.
The cashier didn't have a packer so she had to cash up all the items and then pack everything herself. But what I didn't get was how could that guy just stand there knowing the que was that long and not pack his own stuff. Seriously could someone be so thick that they could just stand there and watch?
My theory is if there's no packer, then pack your own stuff. We live in a world were common courtesy is diminishing and it's something that we need to practice everyday, it is a vital ingredient in ubuntu, to be human.
